U of U Health was recognized for demonstrating excellence in delivering high-quality care based on the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study, conducted annually since 2005.

The comprehensive ranking of academic medical centers measures performance on the quality of patient care in safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness, and equity.

This year, 784 hospitals from across the country participated in the ranking, which helps participating hospitals understand their performance against peers and identify processes associated with higher performance in quality and safety across a broad spectrum of patient care initiatives.

In addition to its placement on the top 10 list, U of U Health also ranked #2 nationally in Vizient鈥檚 Ambulatory Care Quality and Accountability Awards. This is the ninth year in a row U of U Health has ranked in the top ten nationally for its ambulatory quality of care.

鈥淚 am incredibly proud of the work that our team members do each day. It is their efforts and expertise that have earned us this distinction. The history of our high ranking as an organization speaks to the culture that we have created together in providing skilled, compassionate, and high-quality care to our patients and community,鈥 said Dan Lundergan, CEO of 麻豆学生精品版 Hospitals and Clinics.

Recognitions were determined through the Vizient Ambulatory Quality and Accountability Scorecard, which benchmarks data from participating organizations to measure performance in access to care, quality, efficiency, continuum of care, and equity.

鈥淭his recognition is a testament to the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of the extraordinary people who make up the community at U of U Health,鈥 said Sam Finlayson, M.D., associate vice president of clinical affairs and chief clinical officer at U of U Health. 鈥淭heir commitment to excellence, their passion for patient care, and their relentless pursuit of innovation propelled us to this achievement. Together, we have set a standard of excellence that continues to guide us as we strive to provide the highest quality of care to our community.鈥
