How to Prepare for Different Types of Ultrasounds

How you prepare for your ultrasound will depend on what type of ultrasound you're having.

Abdominal Ultrasound: Fast after midnight (only in morning) before imaging

Pelvic Ultrasound: You must have a full bladder; drink 32 oz. fluid one hour prior to your appointment.

Renal Ultrasound: Be well hydrated
